Cell Phone Reception
While cell phone connectivity in urban hubs is typically strong, our tours travel through remote, wilderness areas where there are weak signals (leading to dropped calls) or no signal available. We still encourage you to bring your cell phones, but please inform your families and friends that there may be a day or two when you may have to use a LAN line.
Note: You need not worry because Alaska Educational Tours carries a satellite phone for emergencies.
Internet Access
While wireless connections, broad band services and WiFi Hotspots may not be available in every community, we are happy to say that some form of Internet access is available in all communities to which we travel.
